Output Belfast is Ireland’s biggest annual one-day music conference & showcase, presented by Belfast City Council / Belfast City of Music and programmed by Score Draw Music. Featuring over 30 workshops, masterclasses, panels and talks across all aspects of the music industry, the conference is designed to equip NI’s music community with creative skills such as writing, performing or producing music; as well as business skills like management, marketing or cultivating industry relationships. Offering a diverse programme of panels by global music industry leaders, the conference aims to facilitate growth in Northern Ireland’s music industry and create networking opportunities for both emerging and established talent from all sectors (including artists, music managers, journalists, composers and more). 


Panels and workshops are made possible through our valued partnerships with PRS for Music, Ivors Academy, BBC Introducing, Help Musicians, Screen Composers Guild of Ireland, Complete Music Update, On Music LTD and many more.

    Mentoring & Workshops

    Score Draw has delivered many workshops and sessions on composing music for visual media - from working with young people developing skills in working to picture, to delivering residencies for groups of university students across the UK. We’ve also hosted work experience with students ranging from secondary to graduate level. We’ve partnered with everyone from Ableton and PRS to NI Screen and Into Film to deliver these events. Most recently in November 2024, we delivered a first-of-its-kind course in Music Supervision Training for High-end TV for ScreenSkills alongside music supervisor Catherine Grimes (Blue Lights, Good Omens, The Lovers).

    Conferences

    In addition to programming Output Belfast, Score Draw founder Mark has spoken globally at conferences including SXSW, The XChange Mumbai, Primavera Pro, The Great Escape, Paris Sync Summit, and many more. He has interviewed, introduced, and run sessions and workshops with individuals such as Nile Rogers, Bob Lefsetz, Andrew WK, Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol), as well as music supervisors and heads of music from advertising, film, television, and gaming. Mark has also programmed, run, and co-delivered sessions with national and international stakeholders and PROs including PRS, PPL, MCPS, BASCA, IMRO, BPI, ASCAP, and SESAC.

    Live Music Events

    The Score Draw team have taken their music out on the road, with live performances of the songs from Lily’s Driftwood Bay and Yukee. Our talented musicians and guest performers have played festivals and events including Stendhal Festival, The Great Escape, All Together Now, Cinemagic, and Belfast Culture Night, as well as bringing the Yukee live singalong show directly to children in primary schools across Northern Ireland & ROI.
